Who we serve
We serve children and teens ages 7 to 18 who are living in homeless shelters, group homes, foster care, or underserved communities.
Our services
Hair care products at no cost
Every child receives quality, culturally appropriate hair maintenance kits to support continued care at home or in placement—including for cases of severely matted hair, scalp conditions, and past neglect.
Hands-on workshops and support
We educate youth, caregivers, and parents on proper grooming techniques and textured hair care through supportive, practical workshops.
Senior prom
makeovers
We help teens shine by providing free hairstyling, cuts, and makeup and nail services for this milestone occasion—because every child deserves to feel beautiful for life’s special moments
Why it matters
Many children we serve have hair that is tangled, damaged, or untreated due to past neglect. Some experience permanent hair loss or visible scalp conditions like lice, ringworm, or fungus.
Hair is deeply connected to identity and self-esteem. With proper grooming, they can gain the confidence to walk into classrooms, events, and new environments with their heads held high.
Without support, caregivers—often unfamiliar with diverse hair textures—struggle to help, causing children additional emotional stress and shame.
